Etiology
- Infectious
- Complication of a superficial dermatosis (impetigo, superinfected eczema), trauma (burns, frostbite, surgery, acupuncture)
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Staphylococcus aureus
Clinical presentation
- Large, red, painful ear
- Thickening of the cartilage
- Disapearance of the folds of the antihelix
- Fever and general syndrome
Tretament
- Parenteral antibiotic
