Generalized Eruptive Histiocytosis

  • Adults>children
  • Recurrent crops of many firm small red to brown papules on face/upper body
  • Symmetric eruption (except in children)
  • Spontaneously resolve within several months per episode, +/- dyspigmentation, episodic x years
  • No visceral involvement
  • Pathology similar to benign cephalic (non-lipid)
