Etiology
- Pseudomonas → look for telltale bluish green pigment (pyocianin secretion)
- Proteus
- Mixed (also staph)
Clinical presentation
- Often presents with pain
- Skin erosions
- Previous tinea pedis
- Lateral web spaces
- Green color in some - pseudomonas, proteus - but also mixid (eg. staphs)
Treatment
- Tx oral: clinda ou eritromicina, se contra indicação doxi , mino e tetra
- Quinolonas if pseudomonas
- Euroderm - cyteal
