Etiology: Gardnerella vaginalis
- Imbalance in the vaginal flora
- pH that is too alkaline
- Proliferation of anaerobic bacteria, namely Gardnerella vaginalis
Clinical presentation
- Profuse, foul-smelling vaginal discharge
- Positive potassium test
- Overly alkaline pH
- Presence of clue cells
Treatment
- Metronidazol óvulos
- Metronidazol 1g PO 1 week
